Children’s Activities event at the 47th Annual Archdiocese Convention By Linda Khoury |

This was a huge success bringing over 140 kids and teens to meet and join together and reflect on the convention theme; Vocation:
“you did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain.” John 15:16.
We focused on exposing them to the possibilities of having American/Canadian boys become clergy and girls entering order of nuns. As part of this theme we had our clergy (including a nun’s story) give their personal testimony as to “how and why” they chose this holy Sacrament of Priesthood. Check out our link below to read your priest’s story as well as the most remarkable nun’s story of her journey to be God’s servant.

Not called for priesthood?? Well, we also emphasized God “choosing us” to be one of His laborers in His field to reap the harvest.
We all have a place in His house of worship to use our Spirit filled gifts. Not sure what “gift” God gave you; then just join in wherever is needed and you will eventually find the right place for you. We wanted to open the minds, hearts and spirits for His precious little ones and let them find their hidden seed of faith just waiting to bloom. ‘Whoever wants to be great must become a servant”. Mark 10:43
Months of planning was put forth; the result are the memories that are in photos and etched in our hearts. May our Lord, Jesus Christ, forever be our focus and be among our Unified Syriac Sunday Schools.
