God’s Salvation Plan

Text Box: Back

Creation of Man

God Created man in His own spiritual image as a perfect being.   (Genesis 1:26-27)  He made him steward of the Earth and everything in it.  (Genesis 1:28).  He also gave him one commandment, to stay far from the forbidden tree.  (Genesis 3:2-3)

Fall of Man and introduction of sin into the world

The devil in his cunning way tempted Adam and Eve in tasting the fruit from the forbidden tree.  (Genesis 3:4-7)  So from that moment on, sin came into the world because of their disobedience to God’s command, (Romans 5:12) and Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden and from the presence of God.  (Genesis 3:23)

Consequence of Sin

God is perfect and sin shall never come in His  presence or enter heaven.  The Bible says “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23) and judgment in hell (Matthew 23:33).   And because of the original sin, we all are sinners.  (Romans 5:12)

God’s love

But God is pure love and is a merciful God (Ephesians 2:4); He did not want to see His creation be destroyed forever (2 Peter 1:2), so He planned to save us through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.  (John 3:16)

The Only Way to God and Eternal Life

Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation.  Jesus Said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6).  Through Jesus’ atoning blood we can now be saved.  Our works and deeds will not save us; but rather, we are saved through God ‘s loving Grace (Ephesians 2:8-10) and by our belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died for our Sins and iniquities (1 Peter 2:24); and was raised again, and now sits on the right hand of the Father (Romans 8:34) until He returns again for final judgment. (2 Thessalonians 1:7-8)

What should we do to become saved

1. Confess we are sinners:   Romans 2:23, Romans 5:12, 1 John 1:10

2. Be willing to turn from sin:   Luke 13:5,  Acts 17:30

3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for us, was buried and rose from the dead:  John 3:16,  Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9

4. Through prayer, invite Jesus in our lives to become our personal Savior: Romans 10:10,  Romans 10:13

5. Accept Jesus as  our Lord and Savior:   John 1:12,  2 Corinthians 5:17

6. Read our Bible daily:   2 Timothy 2:15,  Psalms 119:105

7. Pray daily:  Matthew 21:22,  Philippians 4:6

8. Worship, Fellowship and Serve with others:  Hebrews 10:25,  2 Timothy 3:16

9. Tell others about Christ:    Mark 16:15,  1 Corinthians 9:16,  Romans 1:16

Christ at Heart's Door by Warner Sallman

Jesus said Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20
