Glory of Jesus |
|
Jesus revealed His deity throughout His ministry through His miracles and authoritative teachings, but He physically revealed His deity in His full Glory to a few of His Disciples on the mount of Transfiguration where He shined in appearance and two figures, Moses and Elijah, appeared on each side. |

Jesus wanted to celebrate the Passover in Jerusalem. Before He entered Jerusalem he asked that a donkey be delivered to Him. The next day when a large crowd who came to Jerusalem heard that Jesus was coming they took palm branches and went out to meet him and they kept shouting “Hosana in the highest, blessed is He who comes in the name of The Lord—the King of Israel”, Matthew 21:5. Jesus entered the city riding on a donkey so that the prophecy is fulfilled “Fear no more, O daughters of Zion; look! Your King is riding on a donkey’s colt.” Zechariah 9:9 |

The Bible Says in Matthew 17: 1 ... Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him… 5behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Jesus came and touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid”... 9 Now as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead.” |

Jesus continued to teach His disciples while still together at the Last Supper, He knew His hour of suffering had come near. He taught them many things about the kingdom of Heaven and He also revealed His authority to them, He said:
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”
Jesus has final authority to determine who enters heaven and who is worthy to stand in front of the Father. We must believe in Him and confess that He is The Son of God, and He came into this world and died on the cross to save us from Sin. |

Jesus gathered His disciples to have the Passover feast. He knew this would be the last time they will be together. “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body. Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Matthew 26:26-28 |

Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover as the triumphant King He is and everyone rejoiced and gave Him honor and glory. |
